The guest house is named after one of the most famous cannibals in the Basotho History (Motlejoa) who lived during our founder Moshoeshoe’s 1St , though the cannibals ate Moshoeshoe’s grandfather (Peete) his spirit of peace and reconciliation surprised them when he embraced the cannibals by offering fields and livestock to help them live better. It is with the same spirit that a Guest-House was founded to welcome every tribe, domination into the beautiful historical district of Botha-Bothe.

Motlejoa Guest House is a proudly black owned Sole Trader and run full services in Accommodation, Catering and Events management. It was founded in 2007 by Mrs. Mamatela Mateka as a BED & Breakfast. After three years the establishment expanded to a Guest House. Motlejoa is located at Likileng village next to Pitso Ground, Butha-Buthe Lesotho. The establishment currently has thirty rooms, two Conference facilities, Hall one with capacity of fifty people, Hall two with capacity of three hundred people.

We are centrally located and within easy reach of the following amenities (on bus routes or within walking distance)

1 km from Excel garage, the village walk mall, various restaurants and the Botha-Bothe city centre.
